What is VisionQuest Alliance?

VisionQuest Alliance (VQA) is a 501c(3) not for profit Christian ministry that serves other ministries by providing professional services in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Payroll and Compliance; top-tier Microsoft based Serenic Navigator fully-integrated software solutions; and fund development services.

How is VisionQuest Alliance (VQA) unique?

The effective proclamation of the Gospel around the world is being threatened by increasingly complex and expensive requirements to support the work of missionaries on the field. For some ministries these requirements threaten their very existence. Government regulations and compliance, the cost of technology, security issues, and the lack of economies of scale are becoming nearly insurmountable obstacles for the small and mid-sized organizations.

VisionQuest Alliance, a 501c(3) not-for-profit ministry, has adopted and refined a proven concept from the business world…that of providing shared services in all the critical areas needed by missionary-sending and other ministry organizations.

What size organizations does VQA serve?

The size of an organization is usually measured by the organization’s total revenue. VisionQuest Alliance serves organizations with small total revenues as well as those with total revenues in the tens of millions of dollars. VQA does not provide services for any one individual but for organizations that support multiple missionaries and ministries.

Why should I give to VQA and not to one of the organizations you support?

Gifts to VQA are multiplied because we serve many organizations, meaning that your one gift to us will bring benefit to multiple organizations.
VisionQuest Alliance has the capacity to partner with at least 18 more ministries. The ongoing fees are more than affordable for these ministries, but they lack the funds to cover the initial setup and implementation fees. VisionQuest Alliance needs your help to provide scholarships that will fund a portion of these startup costs. Scholarship funds will help ministries fund their one time start up costs. How will VQA safeguard my personal information that is provided with a gift or forother purely administrative purposes?

All personal information is kept in a secure computer environment for each ministry partner. Checks are electronically deposited, locked in a safe and shredded appropriately. Credit card numbers are not stored in their entirety on our systems, only tokens exchanged from an electronic vault service provider. We are in full compliance with all ECFA and federal regulations on privacy.

Clarify the meaning of the ‘Shared Services’ offered by VisionQuest Alliance.

Shared Financial Services: VQA manages and executes a full range of donation processing, financial, payroll, Human Resource administration and staff support services for partners around the world from our offices in Monument, CO.

Shared Support Services: VQA makes available a locally or remotely hosted, fully integrated, ministry configured, enterprise class software suite that includes donor, finance, HR, payroll and web access for donors and staff.

Shared Advancement Services: VQA mobilizes prayer, people and funds for ministries through recruitment, communications, fund development and planned giving services.

Our ministry is very excited about the potential improvement VQA could make to our organization through the use of VQA’s donation processing services. What data do I need to provide so that VQA can prepare a proposal for our ministry?

In order to prepare a proposal, please send some approximations for the following donation processing activity:
1. Monthly average total number of donations received
2. Monthly average number of donations received by credit card
3. Monthly average number of donations received by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)
4. Policy for receipting; e.g., do you receipt every gift or only gifts received by mail, etc.
5. In what form or data base is the donor file kept and maintained? Is it in a spread sheet, Access, or some other form?
6. Approximately how many donor records are there?
7. Do you have a good quality data base of the donor history that you want us to keep? How far back does it go?

Can I reach the missionary I am supporting through your office?

The protocol for contacting a missionary with one of our partners varies from organization to organization. To reach the missionary you are supporting, first contact the mission organization directly.
